Strong Towns elevator pitch?
(Member question)
Hi,
I have spent a lot of time learning about Strong Towns, reading the book and articles, watching videos, listening to podcasts, participating in discussion groups and I am very enthusiastic about many of the ideas/concepts, but I have a big problem!
Whenever I try to share information about Strong Towns in a way that provides enough info and might invite questions from people who are interested and not bore people who aren’t (heaven forbid! :) - I fail miserably.
Can you help me? Do you have an article/video/podcast in your archives that can guide me when introducing the big ideas about Strong Towns? I appreciate any help you can provide :)

In terms of a general elevator pitch, I like to say,
"Strong Towns is a non-profit advocacy organization trying to get people to think differently about how we are developing our cities and towns. We know that the current approach of auto-oriented development in a suburban style is causing a financial crisis that can only be addressed by changing our approach to housing and transportation."
We actually spend about an hour reviewing what Strong Towns is during our New Member Orientation if you were interested in joining as a member and attending one of those sessions. Here's a recorded version if that is better for you: https://youtu.be/1jyzdcOFel0
