Location Description
S. Osage Street and its intersections with SE 27th Avenue and SE 28th Avenue in Amarillo, Texas are not representative of gridded development patterns within the rest of the city. Multiple retail developments - including a convenience store and a used car dealership - populate the corners where S. Osage Street and SE 27th Avenue meet. The aerial footage we gathered illustrates that the areas north and south of this intersection feature a lot of parking with average amount of commercial signage and visual clutter. These two roadways facilitate access to multiple fast food establishments, a discount liquor store, Sam's Club, Interstate 40, and Interstate 27. Neighborhoods composed of single family homes and apartment buildings populate the blocks immediately east and west of the crash location.
