The 2021 Local-Motive Tour

In February and March 2021, Strong Towns presented the Strong Towns “Local-Motive” Tour: 10 events, all online, all designed to give you the tools you need to take action and make your community more economically resilient.

From choosing your next bike lane battle, to building a strong local food system, to clearing the way for incremental developers in your city—each of the tour stops provided participants with the tools and inspiration they need to get started building strong towns right now! Tour recordings were available to all participants after each event.

Each online stop on the tour featured:

• An engaging presentation on a specific topic, led by a Strong Towns team member, including concrete ideas and advice for making your town stronger.

• An in-depth conversation with a special guest who has extensive experience taking action in this field.

• An opportunity for all live attendees to ask questions and get answers from the Strong Towns speaker and guest.

• A chance for ongoing engagement with fellow guests and Strong Towns advocates.

Though the Local-Motive tour is over, the archived events are available for purchase, individually or as a 10-event round-trip. These events qualify toward AICP continuing education credits.
